170 fresh-frozen post-mortem caudate brain samples (same individuals as in the multiome assay) were grouped into 17 pools, with 10 in each pool. The donors in each pool were both condition (with or without AUD) and sex balanced. The nuclei isolation for each pool is similar to the procedure described for the aforementioned single cell multiome assay. Zero point two (or One fifth) unit per microliter of RNase inhibitor was used in the buffers.
