The standardized beta coefficients are used to compare the relative importance of the different predictors as they describe the change in standard deviation (SD) units of the outcome variable per each SD change in a continuous predictor and per change from 0 to 1 for a binary predictor. For binary outcomes, a latent underlying continuous variable is assumed. Total effects of predictors on outcomes were computed by adding indirect and direct effects together. The overall model fit was evaluated in terms of the comparative fit index(CFI) and root mean square error of approximation(RMSEA). A CFI>0.95(51) and RMSEA<0.05(52) were used as indicative of good fit. SEM was performed using Mplus v.3.12(53)
