Text

A recent meta-analysis4 (Polich et al. 1994) reported a consensus that P3 amplitude is decreased in subjects at risk for alcoholism. This decrease is most likely to be observed in prepubescent males using difficult visual tasks. Results in older offspring are more variable, particularly with easy auditory tasks.
