Each question receives a score ranging from 0 to 4, with higher scores indicating a greater risk for having or developing an alcohol use disorder. None of our participants met the diagnostic criteria for alcohol abuse or dependence, according to the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV (First et al., 2002). Fifty-seven participants were identified as social drinkers and the rest as non-drinkers.
