In the present study, hierarchical clustering of microarray z-ratio data identified three main transcriptional groups ( Fig. 1 ). Eight drug abuse (DA) cases (DA35–DA42, Group 3) were discriminated at the first tier, suggesting that these cases were distinctly different from the remaining 34 cases, which separated into Group I (DA1–DA18), and Group II (DA19–DA34).
