Patients with the minor TT allele also had more symptoms and side effects related to opioid treatment, such as sweating, sedation, tension and stress, than other patients (p < 0.05; Figure 3). The general quality of life and emotional function results were also poorer in the patients with the minor allele than in those with the CT/CC alleles. No difference in the rating of pain was noted between these groups, however (Figure 4).
