Similar examples of structural variants driving trans networks were identified after IFN-γ up-regulation of IDO2 involving a p.Arg248Trp substitution in exon 9 (rs10109853), which results in a 90% reduction in tryptophan catalytic activity (26), and after LPS induction to a p.Ala87Thr variant (rs3745601) in P2RY11 modulating ligand binding (27) (fig. S8 and table S3).
