Text

Using quantitative receptor autoradiography and radioligand binding to membranes, we found that G/G mice displayed lower MOPR expression in region-specific manner compared with A/A mice, and there were sex differences in several brain regions. Importantly, MOPR levels were lower in G/G mice in regions involved in antinociception, locomotor activity, and sensitization compared with levels in A/A mice.
