We have developed a two-chamber multi-well device capable of housing distinct neuronal subtypes in different compartments. The induced neurons were derived from human iPS cell lines, where subtype identities have been extensively characterized elsewhere.11,33,34 First, we wanted to verify that the seeding technique preserved distinct cell compartmentation, since shortly after seeding, neurons share the same medium within the well.
