A second replication set from the deCODE/SEED ASD GWAS was also available. Due to platform differences, information from only 159 of the 180 LD-independent markers was available. From these 159 markers, 8 (5%) resulted in association exceeding the nominal P < .05 (Pr(K > = 8/159 = 0.54). The step-wise binomial sign test revealed a smaller concordance effect, with the maximum concordance achieved with approximately the top 70 ranked PGC ASD GWAS association signals, again all nominally associated markers reside within this set (see Fig. 1b).
