Nevertheless, the subjective effects of alcohol after the first two drinks may be especially relevant to whether or not individuals escalate their drinking within a given episode, and more generally, in drinking situations. Lastly, the gender by eBAC interaction was examined and accounted for in statistical models as well as in our procedures for estimating BAC. Nevertheless, not all individuals reported drinking episodes at the various levels of BAC, making it more difficult to fully evaluate the effects of gender in the present models.
