Finally, the specificity of P3AR to externalizing disorders has not received adequate attention, and P3AR has been observed in other disorders such as schizophrenia (Ford, 1999). There are many experimental paradigms capable of eliciting P300. At present, it is not certain whether P3AR observed in non-externalizing disorders reflects the same underlying brain processes or different processes associated with task specific details.
