IL-18 in the Ctx of the WT and TLR4-KO mice treated with or without ethanol for 5 months. Figures 1I,J shows that ethanol treatment up-regulates the levels of IL-1β and IL-18 in the Ctx of the WT mice. Conversely, the same ethanol treatment neither increased caspase-1 activation (Figures 1C,D,G,H) nor the levels of IL-1β and IL-18 (Figures 1I,J) in the Ctx of TLR4-KO mice.
