Text

Following determination of the best-fitting LCA model in each subsample, parameter estimates of probability of diagnoses for specific disorders, along with standard errors, were compared across classes. Because estimated probabilities for diagnoses of certain disorders were zero or almost zero in some cases, it was not possible to calculate relative indices such as odds ratios or relative risk ratios. As an alternative to this, 95% confidence intervals (CI = estimated value ± [1.96 × standard error of estimate]) are presented for the estimated probabilities of being diagnosed with a particular disorder among individuals in each of the LCA classes.
