As shown in Table 2, in the EA sample, higher parental relationship discord and higher PRSALC significantly increased the hazard of initiating regular alcohol use. In contrast, in the AA sample, only exposure to parental divorce, but not PRSALC, significantly increased the hazard of initiating regular alcohol use.
