Genome-wide DamID binding data for human Lamin B1 in SHEF-2 ESCs were obtained from GEO series GSE2242862. Lamina Associated Domains were determined using a similar method to the one described in 63. First, hg18-based data coordinates were converted to hg19-based coordinates using UCSC's liftOver tool. Data was smoothed using a running median filter with a window size of 5 probes, after which domains were detected by estimating border and domain positions and comparing these to domains defined on 100 randomized instances of the same data set. Parameters are chosen such that the False Discovery Rate (FDR) for detected domains is 1%.
