The obtained set of summary time series can then be used as input to the connectivity estimation. The association of time series with cortical regions simplifies the interpretation of results and it makes them directly comparable across subjects since, due to the subject-specific parcellation, each time series corresponds to the same anatomical region in each subject. Code to compute the connectivity between the labels corresponding to the 68 cortical regions in the FreeSurfer “aparc” parcellation is shown in Table 4 and the results are shown in Figure 9.
