At the conclusion of the GWAS and gene expression profiling studies discussed above, we obtained independently ranked lists of (i) SNPs, ordered by the strength of association with lymphocyte count and, (ii) genes, ordered by the strength of the evidence for differences in expression levels between individuals with high or low lymphocyte count.
