Multigroup analysis to test for sex differences was also conducted for the model examining moderating roles of social support (see Supplemental Table 5). Wald test of constraining the four paths linking interaction terms (i.e., alc-GPS ~ family/friend support, and sensation seeking ~ family/friend support) to alcohol use to equal between males and females was not statistically significant (χ2 = 6.63, df = 4, p = .16), suggesting no sex differences in the moderating role of social support for the associations between alc-GPS, sensation seeking, and alcohol use.
