Excessive head motion can induce spurious correlation structures in resting connectivity analysis.31-33 Thus, we used several steps to minimize the influence of head motion, including (1) stringent movement criteria to exclude subjects with mean ||motion||2 greater than 0.25 mm, (2) censoring of data points when ||motioni||2 was greater than 0.4 mm, and (3) including mean ||motion||2 as a covariate.
