The BIS Version 11 was administered. This is a 30-item scale with separate versions for adolescents and adults that measure what the authors characterize as attentional impulsiveness (e.g., ‘I “squirm” at plays or lectures’), motor impulsiveness (e.g., ‘I act “on impulse”’), and nonplanning (e.g., ‘I am a careful thinker’ (reverse coded; Patton et al., 1995). All items are answered as Never — 1, Occasionally — 2, Often — 3 and Always —4. Total scores are computed by summing subscale items.
