Text

Our second finding was that TxN showed greater sensation seeking than both NAC and LTAA. That TxN showed greater sensation seeking than NAC was expected, given that TxN were heavy drinkers, were more socially deviant and had more lifetime externalizing symptoms than NAC (Fein and Landman 2005; Di Sclafani, Finn et al. 2008). As stated above, we believe that the greater sensation seeking in TxN compared to LTAA primarily reflects a normalization of sensation seeking in LTAA.
