For example, consider three p-values from independent tests for the same null hypothesis: p1=0.045, p2=0.046, p3 =0.047. The Bonferroni-corrected p-value needed to reject the null hypothesis for three tests is 0.016 (i.e., 0.05/3); thus, the null hypothesis is not rejected in this example. In contrast, the Simes test rejects the null hypothesis because p(1)=0.045,p(2)=0.046,p(3)=0.047, pSimes=min{310.045,320.046,330.047}=0.047<0.05.
