PANAS were administered. Participants then completed the WIT, stopping for a short break (around 30 sec) between blocks. A longer break was given half-way through the task (after block 3), during which a third BrAC and PANAS were given. After the remaining WIT trials (and another BrAC and PANAS measure), participants completed a few postexperimental questionnaire items, after which electrodes were removed and participants were shown to a private restroom to clean the electrode gel from their face and hair. Participants were then debriefed, after which control and placebo participants were dismissed. Alcohol group participants were retained in the lab until a breathalyzer test indicated that they were sober (BrAC ≤ .02%).
