To ascertain the neuronal activity of mNgn2-induced neurons, we conducted electrophysiological recordings of mNgn2-induced neurons. By 2.5 weeks of induction, mNgn2-induced neurons had resting potentials near −70 mV, exhibited repetitively firing action potentials in current-clamp, and showed gating of putative voltage sensitive Na+ and K+ channels in voltage-clamp (Fig. 3A and B).
