Genome-wide association studies (GWAS) results of individual psychiatric outcomes have also been used to examine genetic relationships between multiple disorders. Such methods include the polygenic score approach (Purcell et al. 2009), restricted maximum likelihood methods (Yang et al. 2010, 2011), and cross-trait linkage disequilibrium (LD) score regression (Bulik-Sullivan et al. 2015a, b).
