reported in EA only, and a haplotype was associated with heroin addiction in AA and EA (Briant et al. 2010). No association with heroin addiction was detected for six SNPs (including rs6512305, rs6090041 and rs6090043) in a larger cohort of EA and AA from our laboratory. A trend toward association was detected for SNP rs6090041 in EA (Levran et al. 2008; Levran et al. 2009).
