of 15 µl reaction solution containing 10×M buffer (100 mM Tris-HCl, pH 7.5, 100 mM MgCl2, 500 mM NaCl, 10 mM dithiothreitol), 0.3 U BsmI, and 3.5 µl PCR product as the substrate. The digestion products were analyzed by electrophoresis using 1–2% agarose gel and ethidium bromide staining for visualization under ultraviolet illumination. The appearance of only the 601 bp DNA fragment corresponded to the A/A genotype of the loaded sample. The appearance of both the 233 bp and 370 bp fragments corresponded to the G/G genotype, and the appearance of all three 601 bp, 233 bp, and 370 bp DNA fragments corresponded to the G/A genotype. The failure rate of the RFLP genotyping assays was 1.667%.
