a regular lattice is rewired to SW and random networks (Hong et al., 2002). The effects of SW rewiring on networks has also been studied on integrate-and-fire neurons, and Netoff et al. (2004) investigated different types of synchronized activity depending on the rewiring probability and its relation to epileptic seizures. For SF networks, Lee (2005) used a system of phase oscillators and reported the dependence of the critical coupling strength for synchronization on the degree exponent. This leads us to hypothesize that the topology in subnetworks of NoNs would strongly influence their global dynamics.
