The 197 African-American children who were successfully genotyped ranged in age from 9 to 11 years (Mean = 9.75) at the time of recruitment. Participants included 126 boys (64%) and 71 girls (36%). Regarding yearly family income, 6.3% of parents reported no income, 28.4% less than $15,000, 33.6% between $15,000 and $29,999, 16.3% between $30,000 and $49,999, and 15.2% greater than $50,000. Table 1 includes gender and genotyping information for participants in the ICP and GCP conditions.
