Several signals were also seen in the region of RAB3GAP1 (rs16831315; P = 8.05 × 10−5), which encodes a protein implicated in the exocytosis of neurotransmitters and hormones; in GFRA1, the gene for a glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor, (rs4562724; P = 9.45 × 10−5); and in DCAMKL1 (rs17786591; P = 2.97 × 10−5), encoding a doublecortin and CaM kinase-like protein.
