When asked by the moderator whether this issue was a drawback or an advantage, the same respondent went on to state further that: “This is all hypothetical. If my father was a violent felon who was tried for murder, and if they did the research that would be necessary to find that if I carried this, ‘violent gene,’ even if I didn’t I could be ostracized the rest of my life. So that’s one of the drawbacks.”
