the EA than AA model (0.44 vs. 0.26). The AA and EA models also diverged on problem alcohol use. No evidence of a shared environmental effect was observed in the AA model, whereas 33% of the variance in problem use was attributed to C in the EA model. Genetic correlations between age at first drink and problem use were comparable in the AA and EA models (0.29 and 0.20, respectively). As seen in Table 2, the full sample model (with AA and EA pathways equated) closely resembled the EA model.
