Chunk #60 — Locomotor Activating, Autonomic and Central Electrophysiological Responses to Alcohol Predictive of Risk — Central electrophysiological effects

Source
Human and laboratory rodent low response to alcohol: is better consilience possible?
Embedded
yes

Text

Electrophysiological responses to alcohol have also been examined to a limited extent in lines of rats selectively bred for differences in alcohol preference. P rats were shown to have a lower response to alcohol than NP rats as measured by the N1-ERP (Ehlers et al. 1991). In addition, the Indiana HAD rats have been shown to have lower levels of response to alcohol in several electrophysiological measures (Slawecki et al. 2000).
