The present study sought to investigate the stability of recovery from AUD during the COVID-19 pandemic and to identify correlates of mild relapse. It benefited from several notable strengths, such as a timely approach, a comprehensive definition of recovery that included moderated drinking as well as abstinence, a large national sample, and a predominantly non-clinical sample. Our overarching goal with this research is to guide future efforts to support recovery from AUD in the population at large, and we are particularly interested in gender differences.
