Text

We were very clear about the anticipated participant burden, the risks associated with participation, and especially took time to explain that we were unable to provide ongoing medical care but would facilitate as best as we could health care access for chronic or newly diagnosed conditions. Although we have been able to facilitate entry into the health care system for participants in need of continuing care, issues of health care access over the long term may be an unresolved issue for the working poor unable to qualify for government sponsored compensated care. This may be a factor in our future success and for research in general among minority populations.
