A 13-week controlled clinical trial comparing nefazodone (300mg/day), bupropion-sustained release (150mg/day), or placebo, plus weekly, individual coping skills therapy in 106 cannabis-dependent outpatients found no significant medication effects on cannabis use or cannabis withdrawal symptoms [83]. These results suggest that nefazodone and bupropion-sustained release are not effective in treating cannabis dependence.
