suicide only among individuals who had been sad or depressed for at least two weeks, which may have excluded impulsive suicide attempts. However, the results of previous studies suggest that the number of individuals with history of suicide attempts who do not report sadness or depressed mood is very low (Baca-Garcia et al., 2010, 2011), suggesting that this restriction is unlikely to have changed our pattern of results. Fifth, specific reasons for low treatment-seeking rates among individuals with PTSD-AD were not assessed in NESARC survey. Future research should collect information that may facilitate access to treatment of inform treatment development.
