Text

In summary, the data presented in this investigation suggests that alcohol-related bone damage may be regulated, at least in part, by targeted effects on both integrin and canonical Wnt signaling pathways. These observations may provide both the basis for mechanistic explanations of the effects of alcohol on the bone remodeling cycle, and novel molecular targets for therapeutic intervention of alcohol-related osteopenia.
