We used quantitative florbetapir PET data from 555 participants enrolled in the Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI) to perform the first genome-wide association study (GWAS) of cortical Aβ burden in humans. We hypothesized that GWAS would confirm the association of APOE as well as identify other genetic modulators of brain Aβ deposition.
