For each sample, for which a forward and reverse sequence file was obtained (N = 304), a correlation value was calculated between the arcsine of methylation frequency in the forward and reverse directions. Samples with a correlation ≥ 0.7 (N = 270) were included in the analysis of percent methylation at each CpG site (Table 1).
