and nonserotonergic neurotransmitters. These results are consistent with the view of alpha as a marker for SRI responsivity. In contrast to our previous findings (21), treatment response was not related to hemispheric asymmetry of posterior alpha. Although the reason for the lack of replication of the alpha asymmetry findings is unclear, alpha asymmetry is known to be less reliable than alpha power (21–24), and may be influenced by a number of moderator or mediator variables (18).
