for a much greater proportion of variance in cannabis outcomes. Thus, there was no evidence for genetic sources contributing to overlap between maltreatment and cannabis involvement (i.e., gene – environment correlation). Third, we found evidence of racial/ethnic differences in the type of environmental factors that contribute to both initiation and problem use of cannabis (i.e., C was only important in EAs). Fourth, we found evidence for racial/ethnic differences in the sources of environmental covariation between risk for maltreatment and cannabis outcomes (i.e., rC and rE for EAs, only rE for AAs).
