Chunk #81 — Results — An Estimate for the Data Size Needed for Significance
Text
Define D, the data size, to be the product of the number of samples and number of SNPs genotyped. For two subpopulations of equal sample size, the phase change threshold is reached when 1/FST is equal to the square root of the data size D, independently of the number of individuals and markers, at least when both are large.
