All respondents completed part I of the interview, which included an evaluation of core psychiatric disorders, while part II was administered to a subsample of 68 894 respondents consisting of all those with any part I lifetime mental disorder and a probability subsample of other part I respondents. Part II focused on services, risk factors and other psychiatric disorders, including TEs and PTSD. Part II respondents were weighted by the inverse of their probability of selection into part II, thus making the weighted part II sample representative of the part I sample. Additional weights adjusted for differential probabilities of selection within households and non-response, and matched the sample sociodemographic and geographic distributions to population distributions (Heeringa et al. 2008).
