RNAs. The joint analyses between schizophrenia and TFC yielded 15 significant loci. The CHRNA5-CHRNA3-CHRNB4 locus was the only one identified by all three smoking traits. In addition to some genes known to be associated with schizophrenia (HLA-B and MAD1L1), we also identified novel non-coding RNAs and RNA binding protein genes (DA376252, BX089737, LOC101927273, LINC01029, LOC101928622, HY157071, DA902558, RBFOX1 and TINCR), post-translation modification genes (MANBA, UBE2D3 and RANGAP1) and energy production genes (XYLB, MTRF1 and ENOX1).
