The UK Biobank (UKB) study29,30 included individuals from the general UK population, aged between 40–69 years at recruitment. Recruitment included a standardised socio-demographic questionnaire, as well as medical history, family history, and other lifestyle factors. Several physical measurements (e.g., height, weight, waist-hip ratio, systolic and diastolic BP) were taken at assessment.
