(Successful, Unsuccessful)×Orientation (Int/Ext) repeated measures ANOVAs for encoding and retrieval separately. As shown in Figure 3 and Table 5, besides a main effect of Region, we did not find significant interaction effects with Region during encoding. During retrieval, there was only a trending Region×Memory×Orientation interaction. In general, these results do not support a functional dissociation within VPC regarding the encoding/retrieval flip pattern.
