Naive HDID-1 mice from the S11 generation were compared with HS/Npt mice after an injection of 2 g/kg ethanol (20% v/v in saline, intraperitoneally). Mice were 132–143 days old and comprised half male and half female per genotype (n = 6–7/line). Blood samples (20-µL) were obtained from the periorbital sinus from alternating eyes at four time points after injection: 15, 30, 60, and 120 min.
