Major alleles of both SNPs were associated with increased BMI, supporting the confidence of genotyping accuracy and associations. rs268972 showed a trend toward association in the replication phase (P = 0.06) but did not show a stronger association than in the GWAS results, as was the case for rs6088887 (Table 2).
